SB 696 passes senate committee A state senate committee voted Wednesday, August 26 7-0 to pass SB 696 which lifts a moratorium on permits issued by the South Coast Air Quality Management District. The action from the Senate Environmental Quality Committee moves the bill for a vote to the Senate floor. The executive director of the California Small Business Alliance, Bill La Marr, said he is "grateful the committee members heard how important SB 696 is for reviving the Southern California economy."
