Support Letters Needed - SB 696

A recent court decision is preventing South Coast Air Quality Management District from issuing permits for new projects. The court decision may affect your business if you plan to install, construct, modify, replace or relocate equipment that emits air pollution.

SB 696 is urgently needed to allow essential projects that are stalled or because they can no longer obtain a permit from the South Coast Air Quality Management District due to a recent lawsuit.

What Does SB 696 Do?
SB 696 is needed to get southern California's economy moving again. It reestablishes the South Coast Air Quality Management District's credit bank and allows access to its priority reserve to continue the District's strict permitting program that protects public health while allowing essential services and job-creating facilities to be built.
